Who we are

Investor Growth Capital is the wholly owned venture capital arm of Investor AB (Investor).  Investor, publicly traded on the Stockholm exchange, is the largest listed industrial holding company in Northern Europe. Investor was founded in 1916 to continue the Wallenberg family's tradition of financing and building best-in-class companies.


Since its formation in the mid-1990s, Investor Growth Capital has continued to invest in high-quality, growth-oriented companies, primarily in the information technology and healthcare industries, in North America, Northern Europe and Asia.   

Investor Growth Capital's 30 investment professionals manage a portfolio whose value exceeds USD $1 billion from offices located in New York, Menlo Park, Beijing, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Stockholm and Amsterdam.

Investment Philosophy

Investor Growth Capital pursues investments where we can partner with talented and motivated management teams that are operating in markets, and offering products or services, likely to produce strong and sustainable growth.

 



In every case, we seek to increase the probability of success by working with our management teams to take advantage of Investor's collective experience in building and developing world-class companies and by accessing Investor's unique, global relationship network. 

Our investment size typically ranges between USD 3 million and USD 30 million and we are almost always a minority shareholder with at least one representative on each portfolio company's board of directors
